Church Services

The Kindred House is a new emerging congregation. Church services currently are held on monthly basis as our congregation continues to grow. This will change when we are able to find a permanent church location.

Although we are currently on a monthly service schedule, we encourage you to connect and participate in our various, weekly, on going classes. This will provide you with the opportunity to meet other spiritually minded people, make friends, learn and grow, and more importantly, to get a feel for what The Kindred House is all about. The Transformational Spirituality Study is also currently meeting on Saturday evenings. Please see class description under the "On Going Classes" heading below.

On Going Classes

There is no fee for many of our on going classes – most are given on a donation basis only should you wish to give. There is no requirement for giving, and you are not obligated to do so. However, should you decide to do so, your donation is tax deductible. If a fee for a class is required you will be notified in advance.

Material fees for books are extra. Books and study guides can be obtained from The Kindred House or from other sources. Books and study guides are not necessary nor required for your participation.

Transformational Spirituality Circle

What is Transformational Spirituality? The entire goal of Transformational Spirituality is to “transform the inner spirit” in a way that is free from religiosity and dogmatic rules and regulations. At The Kindred House we believe that spiritual insight and experience is a personal and individual process. At its core, Transformational Spirituality causes you to step back into the role of witness-observer where you can let go of ego any attachments that may have been preventing you from living an empowered, healthy, abundant, and financially prosperous life. Using metaphysical reference from a variety of New Thought, Buddhist, Christian, Yogic, and Hindu texts, Reverend Dar will present spiritual teachings that are practical and relevant to everyday life.

Meditation Class

We teach two meditation practices with an added metaphysical twist: the mindfulness of breathing and the metta bhavana (the development of loving-kindness). When practiced regularly, these meditations lead to calm, concentrated and positive states of mind. A typical class consists of a simple relaxation meditation, teaching, discussion, and final meditation. The meditations are guided and are suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Each class is self-contained so feel free to start at any time! Required minimum donation - $5.00 per class. Class length is one hour.

Metaphysical Bible Study

As a student of metaphysics, and of the Bible for over twenty years, Reverend Dar believes that Biblical scripture has a deeper spiritual meaning; enriching the literal text and elevating it beyond its dogmatic and “religious” narrow-minded interpretations. Reverend Dar offers an informal, and insightful chapter-by-chapter, verse-by-verse metaphysical study of the scriptures. Special emphasis is placed on practical application of metaphysical truths in every day life.

A Course In Miracles

The 'Miracles' study group invites people who want to study "A COURSE IN MIRACLES" to a friendly, open, ongoing class. This informal class consists of prayer, text reading, discussion, a ACIM daily lesson and mutual support in beginning to learn to lay aside fear in our daily lives and accept the love, peace and joy which are naturally ours.

The 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month. Evenings, 6 PM

Spiritual Book Study

This is a fun and informal spiritual studies group consisting of prayer and text discussion. No – you will not have to go around in a circle and read portions of a book chapter! Our Spiritual Book Study group is designed to lead you through many great spiritual books, and to explore exciting spiritual topics with the intent of deepening your understanding of life changing Truth as it applies to every day living. The book topics and authors are varied and include topics such as: abundance, prosperity, relationships, career, meditation, spiritual growth, and healing. Reverend Dar provides an informal discussion on each chapter of the book being studied; highlighting important metaphysical truths and their applications. You do not need to read or purchase the book being studied to participate in the group.
